Peter Parker from Miles’ universe was actually pretty successful, much to Peter B’s chagrin. Aunt May reveals that she has already had a few visitors, who introduce themselves. This is an exploratory version that helped inform the final shape of the sequence a few days later.

After realizing what’s at stake, Miles steps up. But do the others think he’s ready? Does Miles? This sequence was a step forward in trying to find the scene.
Astute viewers will notice that some of the beats here were placed elsewhere in the movie. This scene was justifiably deemed as too harsh on Miles, especially considering what else was about to happen to him with the following scenes.
